18th C sculpture representing the Education of the Virgin. Group in carved, gilt and polychrome wood. Saint Anne, dressed in a dress and cape with large waved pleats, is sitting and holds the book on her knees. The Virgin, standing, reads it. The whole group is carved with care and great elegance, and especially in the faces marked by tenderness.
